Why did you want to become a jockey?*

I love volunteering at Halter! It’s the highlight of my week! I love spending time with the horses, other fellow volunteers, the staff and the kiddos! It’s amazing seeing the their smiles, seeing them interact with their horse and achieving their goals. I love seeing the confidence Halter builds to these kids. The kids get so much out of being here but sometimes I think I feel like I get more out of it than they do!

Tell us about yourself (ie what do you do, how did you find out about HALTER)*

I offer pet services; drop ins, dog walks and housesitting. I discovered Halter in February 2018 while running on the trails. The next day I was at my gym Nautilus Fitness Center and the owner had a brochure for Halter on the corkboard. They were having a volunteer orientation that was scheduled for the next day and I felt like it was a sign that I needed to be apart of this organization, I signed up and have been a volunteer for Halter ever since!
