Why did you want to become a jockey?*

I want to support a non-profit like HALTER because I deeply believe in the positive impact of their work. As a therapist in the community, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible influence HALTER has on the children they serve. My daughter has attended events at HALTER through local day camps and has also volunteered there with her school. She’s loved her time, what she’s learned, and her experiences with the horses. She’s even eager to become a Pony Pal volunteer! By becoming a jockey and supporting HALTER, I’m not only contributing to their mission but also aligning with her interests and fostering our shared passion for their work.

Tell us about yourself (ie what do you do, how did you find out about HALTER)*

I am the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Healing Solutions, a group practice in downtown Spartanburg that provides mental health counseling services. I specialize in trauma related disorders and work with both adolescents and adults in a therapeutic setting. Over the years, I have utilized HALTER as a valuable resource and have been a strong supporter of their impactful work.

Is there a fun fact you would like to share?*

Last September, I hiked Angel’s Landing at Zion National Park with a ministry called Wild & Free Mamas. It was the most beautiful, thrilling, and intense hike of my life—and I would do it again tomorrow!
